Blackboard-bold letters and digits
Double-struck (blackboard bold) is the mathematical style for number sets: ℕ, ℤ, ℝ, ℂ. This converter maps A–Z and 0–9 to those code points where Unicode defines them so a short label looks like a chalkboard constant.
Math notes vs social bios
Fine for a tweet about “the reals.” Poor for paragraphs. Not every letter has a double-struck form in Unicode—unmapped characters stay as they are. Bold Italic and Sans tools cover other math alphabets.
Font support
Blackboard bold lives in the Letterlike Symbols and Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols blocks. Some embedded fonts omit them. Local conversion.
Frequently asked questions
Why didn’t every letter change?
Unicode does not define double-struck for every Latin letter historically; the map only converts characters that exist.
Is this bold + outline CSS?
No. These are distinct characters. Pasting into Slack does not require a special font file, only glyph coverage.
Can I write ℝ⁺ with this?
You can convert R and then add a superscript plus from the Superscript generator if needed.
